School climate and adaptive characteristics of younger primary school students

Introduction. It has long been established that school climate can influence the course and outcomes of education, but findings previous research are inconsistent as to which elements crucial for positive outcomes. This paper provides a more detailed insight into individual contribution dimensions determinants adaptive functioning students. Objective. The objective was consider patterns relationship between quality its (program, process material) characteristics Methods. conducted in five primary schools Belgrade. Charles F. Kettering, Ltd. - CFK School Climate Profile used assess climate, TRF Adaptive Functioning Both questionnaires were completed by teachers. Results. Positive correlations found program, material determinants, on one hand and, other hand, Based results regression analysis, program singled out only significant predictor. Conclusion. this confirm good especially programs practices domain learning teaching, contribute obtained results, describes implications future practice field.
